I've been a fan of The Morning Benders for a hot second now, but it was more along the lines of having one song in my iTunes that I'd play viciously on repeat without ever looking more into the band. So when their "Boarded Doors" video dropped today I was surprised to learn that the lead singer is Chinese, and they're from Oakland! And this video has him selling womens' shoes, which brings back painful memories of my winter '01 job (that's right, folks...Macy's women's shoes, Stoneridge Mall. Slip of the Tongue was really a reference to a pair of Rocket Dogs). Lastly, in this video Chris is mighty popular with the older white ladies. I think this speaks for itself:


My Conclusion: If you shave Chris' head, you basically have me.
