NIN launches interactive music video campaign
Dude, Trent Reznor is a genius. He also orchestrated Saul William's last album and its fully-digital release. This new campaign for Nine Inch Nails' new album, and they're inviting fans to create their own videos for the songs to be shared by NIN themselves. Yeah, pretty smart.

Because I cannot leave a comment about your blog on the main page of ILL-literacy.com, I'll leave you one here in regards to that
Racial tension is at a boiling point in America. While in the 60s people of all different colors got together to fight injustice, people are now fighting against each other. Many Americans assume just because the Civil Rights Movement is over and people of color have made some strives in society we can all sleep soundly because racism has been admonished. It is far from the truth however, and I feel like racism is even MORE uglier now than it was a few decades ago.
White resentment, black victimization.. it's extremely real and does exist and occur in America today. Stories like the Jena 6 or the rape of Meghan Williams get pushed aside because nobody wants to hear the ugly truth. We want to assume that we solved everything and have pushed ahead because America as a stagnant country is not how we want to be viewed. These events are soooooooo 1960s according to media and instead we focus on the oh-so escapades of paris hilton and britney spears because thats fresh and new.
Obama's speech was absolutely beautiful today. Like bring me down to my knees and weep beautiful (kinda like you and your blogs and spoken word.. but thats another story) Race is kind of that huge elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about. Its there, its apparent but yet everyone would rather beat around the bush and avoid it because it is such a taboo topic. But avoiding it doesn't make it go away. Not speaking about it does making anyone less racist or an less discriminative. In fact not addressing it lets people assume its OKAY and just the way of life. The reasons why i LOVE OBAMA and why i LOVE ill-literacy is because you people keep it real
First of all, what this man says has NOTHING to do with Obama. Those are his opinions and Obama has his own. But what the priest was saying was ON POINT. America did dig itself into this mess but beacuse we're too blinded by our own fucken greed and apathetic to world politics we apparently dont know any better. we have been programmed by the mass media to take everything they say at face value and believe that everything America does it absolutely correct. For a country that values freedom of speech, we sure do get our panties all in a bunch when people say things we don't agree with.
anyway i just needed to get that all off my chest. its quite a lot and might not make sense since i probably have a million things in my mind but i just needed to write this because what you said and what obama said was absoultely true..... you keep doin your thing, writing, performing & i will definitely remain an avid fan...........

Chinita, thanks so much for your words! I'm glad you see where I'm coming from, I thought I was eating crazy cakes watching CNN the other night. I definitely think race is something that some people don't want to talk about. For the rest of us, it's just kind of become an inherent part of speaking. Like nouns and verbs. Not like we're walking around talking like Huey Freeman all the time, but yeah...it's just always there. I appreciate you taking the time to respond though, for real. And thanks for reading. I'll try to keep it interesting...
