gorillaz - don't get lost in heaven

yikes! bristol is a trip!

i've left london for the week to cover some ground yonder in britain. last night was the show in oxford, today was bristol, tomorrow brighton, and then this weekend the isle of wight (pronouced "i love white"...sneaky sneaky...)

part 1: must be a sign
so call me naive, but i was under the impression that truck stops were only found in secluded nooks of american highways, along with wafflehouses and 7-elevens that sell neil diamond cd's for $3.99. but i was wrong. england has its share as well, and i took the liberty of snapping shots of my favorite signs inside one such truck stop that we hauled ourselves into late after the oxford show:

yeah, i know i hate it when my hands are greasy, sticky, or baby.

to sit at this table, not only do you have to be in a wheelchair...

the man in this sign is either
a) very stern
b) is holding himself because he has to go really really bad
c) is holding himself because he's going right now at this very moment

that's me!

part 2: don't get on the green bus
i got lost today, y'all. hella lost. i went out to stroll the streets of bristol, where i'm currently staying, and was told to just hop any bus from the city center and it would take me back to the house, which is just a 10 minute ride away. what i didn't know was that meant any of the buses except the green buses, which take you out of the city. far.

so the green thingie is the center of bristol, and the place i'm staying is ehhhhhh 3 pixels to the left of it. the bus ended up going nonstop to a small village called clevedon, where the red thingie is. i knew something was wrong when we started driving by herds of ram and the houses looked like they were from snow white.

but it ended up being dope...i got to finally see those rolling hills i read about in how green was my valley in 10th grade...haaaaaayyyyyy! i decided to hop off the bus right around sunset time which was dope yet scary. dope because i got to catch one of the most gorgeous sunsets ever (which i shall obsessively post pictures of below), scary because after it got dark i felt like i was running around one of those haunted villages in zelda.

poets walk! pretty insensitive to headless handicapped people though...

luckily, i found a trinket of home....woot woot!

this weekend! i love white! the bestival! konichiwa itches!
