not all ______ mug in photos, and not all ______ do peace signs in pictures.

i pretty much wore only half the clothes i packed for this trip. not because i overpacked, but my skin has been yearning for the same garments. the purple hoodie. faded jeans. adidas that dont match shit. and so the temporal midwest weather did me good.
ill-literacy tends to miss flights but i swear this time it wasn't our fault. this trip was a little hectic. dahlak flew in to illinois from sac, nico went on a direct flight from oakland while me and ruby had standby's in dallas. by the time the two of us got to chicago, it was sprinkling, and (yay!) our existence apparently exceeded the "weight quota" allowed for the plane we were booked for to bloomington. on some james bond shit, we hopped a last-minute rental, ruby's feet on the dash as i twisted the knobs trying to find a good station. alas, there's an icebox where my heart used to be.
we got to our show a slick 45 minutes before stagetime. if it sounds superstar to you, i have to admit i'm a little giddy from the idea of it as well. rocked it. everyone was on point, the audience was fantastic. definitely picked me up from the little slump i've been in since our lukewarm connecticut show.
now if i can, i would like to take the time to apologize for any clowning of the urbana-champaign nightlife that i may or may not have done on stage. i was trippin, y'all midwesterners know how to get DOWN! any night that ends with me guzzling water at 5:30 in the morning for the sake of my poor spinning head is alllllllllllright in my book. very very beautiful people, i'm extremely excited about next year's midwest tour (which became quite official this past weekend! hollerrrrr!)
