ugghhh...

3:11am in philly. this past week has been the epitome of adrizzle-style hustle&bustle...banged out 4 websites, turned in a 25-page script, designed 2 t-shirts, AND managed to do a bit o' cleaning for chinese new year! thank god my loner ass had the whole valentine's day to run errands.

unfortunately, the lack of sleep / good eatin' / chillingness has taken a toll on my body. on the grind i end up doing things like...missing meals. not exercising or going to bed before the sun takes its first peak into the next morning. that, on top of being crammed into an airplane surrounded by kids [and not even the cool kind of kids...the kind that perpetually have spaghetti-o stains around their mouths (you know what i'm talking about)]. somewhere between my two-hour pre-travel nap, waiting for my 4-hour flight delay this morning, and the 5 hour voyage to snow-drenched philly, i caught something. now i sit, slouched over, nostrils flooding my upper lip, eyelids swollen over, sweatshirt cuffs soaked in snotty adriel goodness. hollaaaaaa...

i know, i should sleep. but something about this city won't let me. not that we can really do much in this 20 degree weather but look for ways to escape it, ruby and i are comfy in our homie ben's apartment, simply high off the fact that we've escaped the bay for a few days.

i swear, i love oakland but sometimes the town grabs you and won't let go. don't let the sunny january climate fool you, it gets cold for a playa.

but sometimes you just gotta brush it off. pop a couple of airbornes and get ready to face the pending blizzard. you can't afford to be sick. you've been waiting too long to escape your office, workday, city, state. so what do you do when you're thousands of miles away? when it seems like all you really did was bring your work with you across the country? the deadlines still stick, the community still calls, and your quirks bleed through your frontin when surrounded by unfamiliar borders.

verrrrrry excited about the next 10 days though! i'll keep you updated, fam.
