phrankly, i thought ill-lit was going to have to be rocking blue canary jesus pieces and crashing the mtv awards bephore we'd start getting pre-show dinners at sushi bars where 20 women are waiting phor us around a big ass table.

ok, i made it sound a lot more plush and mack-daddyish than it actually was...some oph them didn't even go to the show because they had phinals, but straight up, the show at bryn mawr on phriday was hotttttttt!! and that long run of solo shows bephorehand had me missing the crew, so i was cupcaking extra hard. phor real though, ill-lit's not one of those groups with ridiculous riders asking phor the blue m&m's to be separated...YET...muahahahhaha!! i remember dahlak yelling at me a year ago phor asking if i could add spongebob phruit snacks to our rider. alas, the liphe oph underground-unsigned-independent-community-artists-who-are- involved-in-genres-that-people-don't-really-know-that-much-about-yet. it doesn't take much to satisphy us--our name spelled correctly on the phlyers, directions that don't get us lost phrom the airport, and intros that don't involve mock-shakespeare or "are ya ready phor some SLAM poetry???"

not that there's anything wrong with slam poetry. and the youth slam in philly on saturday was DISGUSTINGGGGGG!!! cats are mad talented...had us all shook and nervous by the time it was our turn. it went well though, we just kept saying "dis be how we do in CALI!" all philters aside though, our weekend in pennsylvania was absolutely amazing. thanks to all the pholks who came through, especially those that bounced along the entire run. the homie catzie phrom yellow rage bid us adieu, but not bephore bringing us to this OPHPH THE HOOK south american brunch spottie...nothing like puphphin lala and eating phritatas before phlying ophph!
